I recently went out to see a potential client and they were really shocked with the number I threw out when we discussed budget. That got me thinking about the fact that people don’t shop for quality furniture on a regular basis.
Since I do, I thought I’d do a blog series room by room with a high, medium and low budget. I gonna just focus on furnishing, art and area rugs. No built ins, flooring or window treatments or paint included. I’m gonna create a similar look in each budget.
This post is a low budget living room with designer cost of $1875
The elements in this room I sourced from Wayfair. Wayfair has no shipping, a variety of manufacturers and lots of variety. I’ve used Wayfair for pieces I need in a pinch and don’t necessarily plan to keep to the end of time.
The price for each item is listed as they were when I found them. Also just so you know the links are affiliate links which means that if you buy any of the items I get a small commission.
This look was pretty simple to pull together since as I mentioned there is a large variety to choose from. I’ll give you a grand total at the end of the section so you have a realistic idea what a low budget living room cost.
These selections are all excellent selections if your want your budget to stretch a little further, if you’re just starting out and you will invest in better (quality wise) in a couple of years.
Furnishings for this room are $3291.69 and $1875 for a e-design.
So a total cost of $5166.69
